The Madison Heights neighborhood was developed in the early 1900's with most of the homes being built between 1910 and 1917.This truly gorgeous, highly sought after neighborhood is located in the heart of Pasadena. It is best know for the huge oak trees canopying over the streets and sidewalks, stately homes, and for multiple generations of families living in separate homes in this neighborhood. Madison Heights is close to Old town Pasadena and Lake Ave- making it great to walk to dinner, shopping or the movies.
Madison Heights is also somewhat "famous." There have been countless commercials made, TV shows, and Movies produced all using this area as the backdrop. Such movies as The Father of the Bride I and II were filmed at a home in Madison Heights... But, the real stars of this neighborhood are the residents themselves.
This neighborhood is very family oriented. Often you will see families playing sports, riding bikes and walking their dogs. Many of the families remain life long friends with each other and live in this neighborhood for decades. Madison Heights has its own association where neighbors can get involved with city issues, neighborhood beautification, and events.
